Great Snow Blower for Residential Use.

About Me

Comments:

I have now used this snow-blower 4 times since I purchased it a couple months ago. This morning I cleared 8-10 inches off my driveway (3 car) and sidewalks. It did a fantastic job for its size. It got slightly bogged down once the snow height met the top of the inlet, but that's to be expected. None the less, it did the entire job in 30 minutes. Bottom line, a great value.

Best tool in the shed

About Me

Comments:

here in Michigan we get 2 inches of snow sometimes we get 10 inches. Sometimes it's light and sometimes it's heavy. This snow blower powers through all of it.

Easy for a small person to use

About Me

Comments:

I bought this because I wanted a snow blower that would get the job done but wasn't too big and heavy to handle. This one starts up every time, I have used the electric start and the pull start and both work like a charm. The choke lever design is a little odd and seems flimsy but so far has held up ok. The one drawback is also one of it's features...it is small so it takes three passes to get the whole width of the sidewalk clear but it's so easy to use, that really isn't a big problem.

works like a Toro

About Me

Comments:

I bought a Toro because of the reliability. It works pretty much as expected. It does not throw the snow as far as I would like when it is wet and not very deep.

Very easy to assemble and use

About Me

Comments:

This snowblower was very easy to assemble. The first time I used it, there was about a foot of snow and it went through that with no issues. I particularly like that it is light enough that I can lift it and put it in my SUV to take to other houses.

About Me

Comments:

This year has been lean on snow but the few times I needed the blower it worked great. I have had Toro blowers for 35 years and had few problems when properly maintained.

About Me

Comments:

Only had it for one month now. Have already used it for three snowfalls. They have been all under 6". Here in mid Michigan we only get maybe two storms over 6". It is so easy to move around and does a great job clearing.

Gets the job done.

About Me

Comments:

This snowblower suits my needs perfectly. I can't store it in the garage so I store it my basement. I can carry it up and down the stairs unassisted. It's not very wide and it's kind of noisey but it runs like a champ. It gets the job done.

Great machine for small amounts of snow

About Me

Comments:

I have never dealt with snow before, I grew up in So-Cal, this is the first snow blower I have ever owned. It was easy to assemble and to get running out of the box, my 8-year old son did it with me. Clear directions and only needed basic tools to get it stood up. I recommend the 518 ZE for a beginners snow blower. Works great on small amounts of snow (6-12 inches), struggles with, but gets through the deep stuff. The latest storm we had gave a good dump and the small but mighty Toro got through it, just required more of my manual labor to help it.

Convenient to use.

About Me

Comments:

This is a small single stage gas snow blower that is replacing my electrics. Its primary use is to clear an area so I can get my tractor and snow blower out of its shed and to do my decks and front walk. It is light enough to pick up and get onto the deck and porch and has a lot of power. The electric start is convenient but is easy to start without it. I've been very happy with my Toro electric Power Curves and bought this unit to replace one that gave up the ghost after 10 years of use.
